Korean BBQ tabletop materials: compare the finish before ordering

Choose a Korean BBQ tabletop after checking its construction, cleaning instructions and the appliance installation details. A finish name or photograph does not tell you the core material, edge treatment or permitted heat exposure.
Start with the Korean BBQ table range. Keep the tabletop specification separate from the grill and base, even when a photograph shows the assembled table.
Ask what the tabletop is made from
HiLEE lists a Formica Marble Tabletop, a Walnut Tabletop and a Stainless Steel Tabletop. Request a sample and a written construction description for the option you want.
For a wood-named finish, ask whether the order uses solid wood, veneer or a decorative surface. For a laminate option, identify the surface, supporting core and edge finish. For stainless steel, request the grade, construction and care instructions. The current product names do not supply all these details.
Compare the cleaning routine
Bring the restaurant's proposed cleaning products to the sample review. Ask the fabricator to identify permitted products, tools and methods for the supplied finish. Keep the written instructions with the table schedule.
Check the edge, joints and the area around the grill opening as well as the middle of the sample. Ask how staff should handle spills at those points and what damage requires repair. Do not choose a cleaner from a photograph of the tabletop.
Formica's surface care guidance recommends non-abrasive cleaning and protection from hot objects for its laminate products. Confirm that the instructions supplied with your order apply to that exact surface. General laminate guidance does not approve a Korean BBQ appliance installation.
Review the grill opening separately
Send the fabricator the chosen grill's current installation drawing. Ask how the proposed tabletop construction meets the appliance's support, clearance and service requirements. Have the project team resolve that detail before fabrication.
A metal-looking top is not, by itself, evidence that any grill can sit in it. Likewise, a picture of a complete station does not establish that the tabletop price includes the appliance or base.
Use the custom tabletop ordering checklist for dimensions, drawings and order approval. Use the table layout worksheet for the dining room around it.
Put the finish on the quote
Record the product name, sample reference, construction, edge finish and care instructions. Add the approved grill drawing and identify who supplies the tabletop, base and appliance.
Request a tabletop quote with that record and the quantity needed. Ask the supplier to identify any change to the approved sample or construction before making the order.
