Korean BBQ Equipment Delivery Checklist: Before the Truck Arrives
Prepare an equipment delivery by confirming the unloading service, access route, packing list and person responsible for receiving it. Delivery to an address does not by itself define who moves, assembles or installs the equipment.
Use this checklist after selecting items from HiLEE's restaurant equipment range. Agree on the receiving arrangements in writing before the shipment leaves.
Confirm what delivery includes
Ask whether the quote provides curbside delivery, liftgate service, inside placement or another arrangement. Confirm any appointment, access or unloading requirements with the supplier and carrier.
Name the person who will be on site and give the carrier a working contact number. Have a backup contact if the delivery window overlaps restaurant service.
Ask how delays, missed appointments and storage are handled under the actual order terms. Do not assume a standard policy applies to every shipment or destination.
Check the route to the final location
Obtain packed dimensions and shipping weights for the items being supplied. Measure the route from the unloading point through doors, corridors, turns and any lifts.
Check the available unloading area and any restrictions on vehicle access. Identify a staging space where equipment can remain protected without blocking restaurant circulation or the installation crew.
The BM-LQ-BS02 meat slicer listing specifies wooden packing. Ask for the actual crate dimensions and handling requirements; the machine's appearance in a photograph is not enough to plan the move.
Build a receiving list from the order
Use the accepted quote and order acknowledgment to create a packing checklist. Record the model, quantity, expected accessories and intended table or room for each item.
For BM-320G gas roasters, check the cooking surfaces as separate items because the product listing states they are sold separately. A box containing a roaster does not establish that the complete station has arrived.
If furniture is shipped in components, list tabletops, bases and supplied hardware separately. Ask the supplier how the cartons are labeled so the receiving team can match them to the order.
Record the condition at arrival
Follow the supplier's and carrier's written receiving procedure. Photograph the shipment labels and accessible packaging condition before unpacking. Record visible damage or missing pieces as instructed by the carrier, and contact the supplier promptly when something is wrong.
Keep the photos, delivery receipt and packing list together. Ask in advance about the process and deadline for reporting concealed damage; this checklist does not replace the terms of the shipment.
Do not discard packaging or modify a damaged item before obtaining the supplier's instructions. Keep unresolved items separate from stock that is ready for installation.
Check model labels before installation
As equipment is unpacked under the agreed procedure, compare the actual model and configuration with the order. Record serial numbers where provided. Match accessories to their intended appliance rather than combining loose parts from several cartons.
Ask the installer to resolve any discrepancy before connecting or modifying equipment. For custom tables, compare the delivered tabletop and opening with the approved drawing.
Mark each item as received, awaiting clarification or ready for the installer. That simple status list is more useful than a single note saying the shipment arrived.
Hand over a complete record
Give the installation team the approved drawings, manuals, component list and any unresolved delivery issues. Keep the supplier's service contact and purchase details available to the person managing the installation.
Allow time for this check when planning reopening or first service. The delivery appointment and the date equipment is ready to operate are separate milestones.
